Ukraine Mon Amour

Історії біженців з України

August 24. Ukraine’s Independence Day.

I’m walking with my children along the seashore in a beautiful town where I now live — Härnösand — a place I truly love. I look up and see a helicopter flying over the city. Suddenly, my older son, Heorhii, hides under a bench that stands along the sidewalk. He’s frightened. He asks me why a helicopter is flying here. He’s scared because he thinks the war has reached Sweden.

He is only four years old, but he already knows what war is!

The website Ukrainemonamour.com features unique photographic stories about people who managed to escape war-torn Ukraine and make it to Sweden. Step into their daily lives and discover how they are living today.
